Lush Product Review

Lush Haul

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I’m going to be reviewing/showing you my haul of Lush products that I picked up the other day. Normally, I don’t shop at Lush because I find that the smell is just too overwhelming and the only product I’ve purchased there (Tiny Hands) was oily, smelled gross and didn’t moisturize my skin. So I’ve just never felt the need to purchase anything else. If you’re interested you can find my current hand care routine here.

Anyways, I went in mostly because I really wanted to take a bath and I figured it was about time I gave their products another go. At the bath bomb section the Granny Takes A Dip bath bomb caught my eye so of course I purchased that. And because I’m easily persuaded (due to the fact that I have a HUGE shopping addiction) I also bought the Big Blue bath bomb and Sex Bomb bath bomb.

Granny Takes A Dip – This one was really neat because at it was dissolving streams of colour were going across the tub and it made some nice bubbles which is always great in a bath.
Big Blue – I really liked this one. I liked how as it was dissolving pieces of seaweed just kept falling out. It was actually really surprising how much seaweed was inside the tiny bomb. The sales women at the store said this one emulates the ocean and I mean it obviously isn’t the same but it was a really nice blue colour and the smell was calming.
Sex Bomb – This is apparently one of their more popular bombs and I think if you love pink and want a nice girly night this is perfect for that. I mean the little flower didn’t really stay in a nice flower form but it definitely is a cute idea.

You can definitely tell a lot of work goes into these bombs at their Lush Kitchen so these bath bombs actually impressed me quite a bit.

Charity Pot

Like I said before I have a shopping addiction. So of course I also ended up buying another item that I actually have no need for, but it was for a good cause so whatever. haha. I ended up getting the Charity Pot. I think that this lotion works well, my skin definitely feels more moisturized after using it but like many other Lush products I wasn’t a big fan of the scent. Although the fragrance in this lotion is mild so it didn’t bother me too much. However, what I really like about this product is that there are so many natural oils and ingredients in it. Through Lush’s Slush Fund they are able to produce these products through sustainable farming  and community projects, which is really cool. As well, all the proceeds go towards grassroots organizations. From my experience so far with this cream I would recommend it because it’s a light cream (slightly on the oily side) that goes a long way

Lastly, I didn’t buy this product but Toothy Tabs are definitely an interesting idea. So check them out.

I’ll have to try one of those out 🙂

  6. I love Lush, not just because of their products, but because it started as a really small company in my home town. We have their factories and headquarters dotted around everywhere here! I know what you mean about it being a bit overpowering though! I’ve been outside their shop/salon so many times and heard people saying how much it stinks! Ha ha. I like it though, and it’s cool when you drive by the factory and the smell is pumping out! Xx

That’s amazing! I’d love to visit one of their factories. I’ve watched tons of their “how it’s made” type videos on YouTube and I think the products are all so unique.

      Love your blog girl 🙂
